One variant of preparing matoke is to make it into a curry. This dish is probably more popular with the Ugandan Indians and their diaspora as it marries up the spicy influence from Indian cuisine and the unique bananas.

To have the curry charmingly deluicious, spices and a small amount of chilli are added. The curry is commonly prepared in a mixture of other stews such as beans,peas, meat soup among others.
