Trace Music DJ Vocal Teknix to grace DJ Awards.

Trace Urban DJ, Vocal Teknix who hosts the Trace Video Mix show, is in  to Kampala to grace and perform at the finale of the UG Mix Maestro awards.

The campaign to professionalize the Ugandan DJ industry and celebrate and honor DJ’s contribution to Uganda’s music industry was launched in August this year by Uganda Waragi together with the DJ Association of Uganda, a professional body that brings together all DJ’s and VJ’s in the industry.

The campaign will come to a close at a finale which will also double as an awards ceremony. Categories include best Radio DJ, Best TV DJ, Best Events DJ, Best Night life DJ, Gospel DJ of the year and Best Male/Female Battle DJ of the year. All categories except the Best Male/Female Battle DJ will walk away with an honorary accolade and UGX1 million shillings prize money each. The Best Male and Female Battle DJ, who will be picked by a team of judges at the awards will walk away with a DJ set worth $1,500 and 1 million shillings each.

The awards are held at the Golf Course hotel this 14th day of October, 2017. Some of the DJ’s nominated for the awards include DJ’s Slick Stuart, Roja, Nimrod, Ali Breezy, Beats, Selector Jay, Twonjex, Cacie, Shiru, Crim, Kas Baby, to mention but a few.

VocalTeknix is a DJ from France who has been a video programmer with Trace since 2008. The show is broadcast in 150 countries around the world weekly. Strongly influenced by Hip-Hop and Dancehall, VocalTeknix, loves mixing urban sounds and is constantly creating his own sounds and mash-ups.

VocalTeknix will also perform alongside Ugandan DJ’s Bexx, Rachel, Switch, Aludah, among others.

Tickets are being sold for 50k ordinary and 100k VIP.
