23rd, July, 2017 – Vodafone, Uganda’s leading 4G internet service provider, offering 4G-LTE high-speed broadband data services, is supporting Small Medium Enterprises. Recently, Anthony Tenywa, the Research and Insights Manager together with Hurry Mugisha Head of SME, made a courtesy call to renown furniture retail, Nina Interiors in Kampala during the Top 100 mid-sized company weekly visits.

“We aim to enable SMEs to work faster and smarter by identifying their internet needs and develop solutions that directly meet these needs”, said Anthony Tenywa Research and Insights Manager, Vodafone Uganda.

SMEs contribute up to 70% of Uganda’s GDP, and are therefore an important engine for growth of the economy. The continuous growth in technology is an indicator that businesses need to evolve with it if they are to benefit from these changes. Integration of ICT in business will improve productivity and efficiency of businesses.

The Top 100 mid-sized companies’ survey is an initiative of KPMG and the Nation Media Group represented by Daily Monitor in Uganda; it has been conducted since 2009 in Uganda as well as in Kenya and Tanzania. The purpose of the survey is to identify Uganda’s fastest growing medium sized companies in order to showcase business excellence and highlight some of the country’s most successful entrepreneurship stories.
