The Uganda wildlife authority on Wednesday April 17th hosted a group of news editors from various media houses at Uganda’s biggest national game park, Queen Elizabeth.
The trip was generally aimed at familiarization in order to acquaint themselves with information on wildlife conservation and also get a personal feel of what happens in the gazetted areas.
The visitors (editors) were involved in numerous activities that included game drives at the wildlife experience zones, community encounters, human wildlife conflict interventions, boat cruise and much more.
According to an earlier post on one of the authority’s social media handles, ‘’the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) acknowledges the importance of the media especially in spreading conservation messages to the public and thus wishes to work more closely with them, this will in turn have a great boost to the publicity and coverage of Uganda wildlife Authority’s activities’’. The statement read.
