The weekend beginning Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we bring you the eye catching top events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calendar this Weekend.
01. Miss Tourism Buganda Crowning at Uganda Museum
The Miss Tourism Buganda beauty pageant will take place this Thursday at the Uganda Museum. Go witness the next Buganda beauty queen who will take on the throne for the next one year.
The event begins at 5pm and entrance is Shs10, 000.
02. FunQuest at Camp Rima and Nile Park
On Friday 30th and Saturday 31st August, get to enjoy a 1-day and 2 nights of localized Adventures in Jinja, Eastern Uganda. Part of the Adventures will include; Film, Food, Music, Camping and various activities all packed into one fun quest.
These activities will take place at Camp Rima and Nile Park. For Shs30k, one will enjoy Meals and Activities while for Shs20k, will be free while you tag along with your own tent.
03. East African Meat Carnival at the Gardens Najjera
The East African Meat Carnival will be taking place this Saturday August 31st at the Gardens, Najjera. Get to party while you enjoy a mixture of sound, meat, drinks, colour and pomp on the monthly meat carnival edition.
Entrance will be free and the event is hosted by Chief Mark Kaheru.
04. City Market Day at KCCA Grounds Lugogo
City Market Day will be taking place this Saturday August 31st at KCCA Grounds Lugogo. The fundraising event is organised with intention of raising money for the completion of Munteme project in Kikuube, Hoima District.
Entrance is Shs5K Adults and Shs3K Children.
05. Baileys Picnic & Movie Experience
The Baileys Picnic and Movie Experience will be happening at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel this Saturday August 31st 2019. Lots of entertainment as you watch the movie titled ‘’A Star is Born’’ and music performances from Body of Brian and Afrie and JC Muyonjo.
Showtime will be 2pm – 10pm.
06. Thursday Jam Session at The Five Horsemen, Nsambya
Catch yet another epic Thursday Jam session happening at the Five Horsemen, Nsambya this Thursday. To join the party, one member from Team Kumba based in Kigali will be in the building to blend up the party.
Lots of amazing Afro dancers, Break dancers and baddest Hip Hop Emcees on one stage.
The event begins at 8pm till 11pm.
07. Wines Cocktails and Whisky Festival happening this Sunday
This Sunday September 1st, Evolve brings you the Wines Cocktails and Whisky Festival at the Kampala Sheraton hotel starting 10am. Get to taste the best wine and whiskey selection in the Pearl Of Africa as you enjoy the different brands.
08. Silent Season 3 with DJ Slick Stuart and Roja at Devana Lounge
This Friday, Deejay duo Slick Stuart and Roja will be blazing the best jams at the Silent Season three, Silent Disco. Enjoy three Channels with upto nine deejays at Devana Bar and Lounge, Mityana Road.
Showtime is 8pm as entrance is Shs15k.
09. The Pan-African Pyramid Global Awards and Bonfire dinner at Fairway Hotel
This Friday, the Spy Uganda will be hosting the 2019 Pan-African Pyramid Global Awards and Bonfire dinner at Fairway Hotel starting 4pm.
The evening will be crowned with awarding great Pan-Africanists across the globe. Entrance the event will be Shs60K Bronze, Shs100k Silver, Shs 500K Gold and Platinum Shs1 Million.
10. Leadership and Business Management Training
This Friday 30th August, The Leadership and Business Management Training program will take place at the Uganda Museum from 9am – 5pm.
This course will rally management to engage in their different capacities and to connect with their teams as the main focus area. This unique program is designed to produce a purposeful shift in leadership and performance management.
Lead trainer will be Alexander Kyokwijuka, an Entrepreneur, Business Coach and Author for the book ‘’How to start a Business in 10 days’’.
