Over the weekend, Uganda Waragi’s UG Mix Maestro campaign took the party to Masaka in a massive showcase of deejay talent.
The event which was held at Laston Hotel grounds featured deejay performances by an all-star line-up including DJ Nimrod, Magic Switch, Cisse, Lolah and Shan.
This is the second edition of the UG Mix Maestro campaign which was launched last year with the purpose of recognizing and celebrating the unique talent that deejays have to offer.
The campaign is organized in partnership with the DJ Association of Uganda, an umbrella body that brings together all DJ’s and VJ’s in the country and whose purpose is to professionalize the DJ industry.
The UG Mix Maestro has three more stops in Mbale, Gulu and Mbarara before the grand finale in Kampala on November 2. The DJ’s lined up to perform include Shan, Xzyl, Stuart, Roja, Aludah, Nimrod, MaryJo, Lola, Switch, Bexxx, Ciza and Cisse.
In addition to the all-star line-up of deejays, the UG Mix Maestro campaign is also working with talented local deejays in the various towns of Uganda. The most talented deejay will stand a chance to win a fully paid scholarship to the DJ Academy.
