To mark the end of their weeklong Customer Service week celebrations, the Airtel Uganda Managing Director Mr. V.G. Somasekhar today surprised staff and customers at the One-Stop shop located at the telco’s headquarters in Clement Hill with a rewards spree.
This was in an effort to thank the customers for their continued support and recognize the Customer Service team for the work that they do every day throughout the year.
Throughout the Customer Service Week, members of Airtel’s top management team have visited different branches and call centers serving cake to the staff and customers there as well as surprising the Customer service representatives with prizes. Each visit has been crowned with a motivational speech to encourage the staff to keep up the good work.
Commenting about this initiative, the Airtel Uganda Managing Director Mr. V.G. Somasekhar said, “Customer service week is as much about our customer service team as it is about our customers. We are using this opportunity to appreciate our customers for their continued preference of Airtel products and services and reward our internal customer service teams for the commendable work all year round.”
“As the first point of contact with our customers, we rely on our customer service team to assist the customers in the most professional and yet friendly manner possible. For this, we applaud them,” he concluded as he handed out gift hampers filled with Airtel goodies to the staff members and customers in the one-stop shop.
Customer Service Week is an international celebration of the importance of customer service and of the people who serve and support customers on a daily basis.
Themed ‘Excellence Happens Here’, the week has seen among other activities, Airtel Uganda leadership visiting select retail outlets to engage and interact with customers as well as give away surprise prizes. Customers have also had the opportunity to enjoy cake served to them by Airtel staff when they visit different Airtel shops across the country.
