2.0 is an upcoming Indian science fiction action film written and directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan , and produced by A. Subaskaran. A spiritual successor to Enthiran (2010), 2.0 will feature Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti , alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. With an estimated budget of R543 crore, it is the most expensive indian film made to date. The film is shot in Tamil and will be released in 14 other languages with dubbed versions.
2.0, is all set to hit screens this Thursday 29th November 2018. The advance booking of the film has just opened and it received a thunderous response from the audience. Talking about Tamil and Telugu versions, the advance booking itself has shattered many records is even expected to break the records of Baahubali 2 and Mersal .
Since the film will also be released in the 3D format, it will boost the business of the film, as the ticket rates of 3D are costlier than the normal ones.
The film will be reportedly released in 10000 screens worldwide (7500 in India and 2500 at the overseas market), making it the widest Indian release ever. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth, it also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal roles.
Directed by Shankar, it produced under the banner of Lyca Productions and the Hindi version is presented by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions.
