On Wednesday afternoon, Tanzanian popular bongo flava and dance star Nasibu Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platinumz arrived at Entebbe International Airport ahead of this week’s Thursday July 25th Comedy Store show taking place at UMA Lugogo where he is listed a top performer for the evening.
Speaking to the press today afternoon at Mestil hotel and Residences in Nsambya, Diamond Platinumz pledged to show to Ugandan Comedy lovers what he has when it comes to pulling out the best performance on stage.
‘’I promise my Ugandan fans nothing but an energetic and fantastic performance on Thursday at Comedy Store Uganda so all be there’’ he said.
Diamond Platinumz will closing off the show after performances from Kenyan based Comedian Eric Omondi, Singer – King Saha, Comedians; Maulana and Reign, Snake and Zoro, T –Amale, The Mighty Family, Senga Justine Nantume, MC Godi Godi, Kalela, MC Mariachi, Ivuga band, and DJ Lolah.
Diamond Platinumz rose to Uganda’s music scene when his block buster sensational hit song ‘’Number One’’ in which he also collaborated on a remix with Nigeria’s Davido crossed borders and became a house hold song in Uganda thereby making his debut performance at Lugogo Cricket Oval in a concert dubbed ‘’Born to Win’’ on which he was co-hosted with Nigeria’s Raggae-Dancehall superstar Patoranking on 18th December 2015 before a series of other Ugandan shows popped up on his Calender including; the KCCA Festival at Kololo Airstrip and the most recent one being a Birthday party hosted by a Ugandan tycoon in Entebbe.
Diamond Platinumz who also serves to be a Ugandan In-law as previously married to Ugandan female socialite Zari Hassan has hit songs such as’ Tetema, Marry You feat. Neyo, The One, Kanyaga, Kwangaru, Inama, Ntampata Wapi, African Beauty feat. Omarion, Nana, Kainama, Waka Waka feat. Rick Ross, Utanipenda among many more.
Comedy Store revealed that they re-packaged their Comedy nights and this new series of entertainment where they host an international superstar will go on throughout once every month.
The show will start at exactly 6pm as tickets sold only at the door shall go for Shs 50K Ordinary, VIP Shs 150K and Shs 1 Million for a Table.
