Japan’s capital Tokyo, has been awarded after emerging top on the ‘Most Instagrammable Places in The World 2021’ list of Big 7 Travel website ranking.
Tokyo beat 49 other cities for the top spot as the most instagramed place in the world.
According to one of the websites that voted on this award, “Ancient shrines, other-worldly art exhibits and vibrant neon-lit billboards galore are just a few things that make Tokyo a hit on the gram.
Tokyo is also famous for its active shopping markets perfect for capturing the essence of life in Tokyo.
With more than 53 million #tokyo hashtags reveal why this city is the most Instagrammable place in the world for 2021.
“Do it for the ‘gram,” is a popular saying embodying the Instagram culture we are currently in. Snapping photos of food, places, and even experiences are nothing new to us.
To award the winning city, Big 7 Travel scrutinised hashtags for destinations around the world on Instagram, asked the 600,000 people that follow its food and travel Instagram accounts for their opinions and considered the thoughts of its editorial team.
Under the same category, The Philippines came 2nd, Paris 3rd, New York 4th and Istanbul 5th.
‘The Gram’ as popularly known is one of the leading social media sites where users enjoy a delicacy of photos from allover the world on a daily.
