Rwandair last week revealed that direct flights to Entebbe International Airport have been temporarily called off due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in Uganda.
This announcement was made by the Airline on Thursday June 10, 2021 in a media statement released earlier in the day reading;
“Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in Uganda, RwandAir announces the suspension of its flights to Entebbe International Airport effective June 10, 2021, until further notice’’.
However, Rwandair advised all affected esteemed passengers to request a refund or rebook again at a later date to be announced soon as flights resume.
Currently, Uganda has upto 63,099 confirmed cases for only Ugandans with cumulative Ugandan recoveries of 48,480 as of Monday June 14, 2021.
Uganda’s COVID-19 death toll crossed 400 by last week, with health authorities accusing the out of hand situation on the general public for failure to comply with Covid-19 preventive guidelines as issued by the Government under the Ministry of Health.
