The much celebrated Uganda tourism local beauty pageant – Miss Tourism Uganda is in its advanced stages as it winds up to choose the 2022 beauty queen on September 23 at Kampala Serena Hotel according to the events organizers.
According to the organizers, all preparations are underway and hope for a success full crowning on the fate full day. Much as some regions already have crowned representatives, there are some other parts of the country in which representatives are soon to be chosen and announced.
According t the event organizers, the event is hoped to be a successful and will feature a number of industry dignitaries not forgetting reigning Miss Tourism 2021/2022, Susan Kahunde.
This years event will run under the theme, ‘rethinking tourism’. The beauty queens take part in different activities before being crowned of which will include sharing their knowledge about Uganda as a tourism destination and their regions as well. Other activities involve them showcasing their culture through art and fashion among others.
After all the regions have sent in representatives, they will all go for National boot camp at Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe as they prepare for the grand finale.
