Qatar Airways Expands Flight Service to Entebbe Airport

Qatar Airways has announced an increase in flights to Entebbe, Uganda, in response to rising summer demand. From August 1 to September 30, the airline will operate 11 weekly flights between Doha and Entebbe, up from the current daily service.

Hendrik du Preez, Qatar Airways’ Vice President for Africa, emphasized the enhanced connectivity for passengers traveling from Uganda to global destinations. He highlighted the airline’s dedication to improving air connectivity across Africa and strengthening economic ties.

This expansion is part of Qatar Airways’ broader strategy to capitalize on Africa’s growing market potential. The airline has recently added several new African destinations to its network, including Kinshasa, Abidjan, and Harare.

With 180 weekly flights to various African destinations, Qatar Airways is demonstrating its long-term commitment to the continent. This expansion is expected to significantly contribute to the growth of Africa’s aviation sector, with passenger traffic projected to nearly double by 2035.
