Busoga Kingdom, in partnership with the E-Rotary Club of Naguru Kampala, will host a one-day health camp in Bulamoogi Chiefdom, Kaliro District, on November 30, 2024. The camp, slated to take place at Namwiwa Health Centre, will provide essential medical services to underserved populations in the region.
This initiative reflects the commitment of His Majesty Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV to improving the health and well-being of his subjects, aligning with his vision for a healthier and more prosperous Busoga. The health camp will offer spinal care, eye treatments, dental services, and other vital medical interventions tailored to meet the needs of the community.
At a recent planning meeting held at Kaliro District headquarters, key stakeholders finalised the preparations for the event. Led by Owekitiibwa Ahmed Osman Noor, Busoga Kingdom’s 2nd Deputy Premier, the meeting included key figures such as Flavia Bwire, President of the E-Rotary Club of Naguru Kampala, James Naita, Chief Prince of Bulamoogi Chiefdom, and Elijah Kagoda Dhikusooka, Chairperson of Kaliro District.
Owekitiibwa Noor lauded the Kyabazinga’s leadership in championing public health. “His Majesty’s dedication to healthcare serves evidence to his desire to see Busoga thrive in all aspects, particularly in health,” he stated.
Flavia Bwire highlighted the importance of the partnership, noting the range of services the E-Rotary Club will bring to the camp. “We aim to address critical health concerns, from spinal issues to vision and dental care, ensuring comprehensive support for Kaliro District residents,” she explained.
The district leadership, represented by Elijah Kagoda, expressed gratitude for the initiative. “This camp reflects Busoga Kingdom’s dedication to the well-being of its people, ensuring even remote communities have access to vital health services,” Kagoda remarked, reaffirming the district’s commitment to supporting the event.
As anticipation builds for the health camp, residents of Kaliro and surrounding areas eagerly await this rare opportunity to receive free, high-quality medical care. This collaboration between Busoga Kingdom and the E-Rotary Club of Naguru Kampala exemplifies the power of partnerships in addressing public health disparities and underlines a shared vision for a healthier Busoga.
