Dfcu has rolled out a new insurance program that seeks to help Ugandans during hard times. Dfcu customers will now have access to medical insurance, funeral cover and related insurance expenses provided one holds an account.
It should be clarified that Uganda tops low insurance penetration with just one percent rate, currently the insurance sector and its affiliated regulatory bodies have developed new channels to increase uptake and influence attitudes so as the public rolls up.
Bancassurance is expected to support many Ugandans.
Dfcu chief executive officer William Ssekabembe , says the bank has taken slightly different approach to Bancassurance bearing in mind the needs of their customers and the current socio economic times.
The new service is embedded within some of the existing insurance products with relation to customers who have accounts with the bank.
Martha Aheebwa, dfcu principle officer adds that Bancassurance policy will have insurance programs for Investment clubs, salary protection cover, Hospital cover, and so many more.
