After a 20 years period, Ethiopian Airlines will commence daily flights to Asmara, Addis Ababa on Tuesday 17th July 2018.
The resumption comes after peace agreements concluded recently by H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and President H.E. Isaias Afewerki of the State of Eritrea.

The resumption of air links will play a critical role in boosting the overall political, economic, trade and people-to-people ties between the two sisterly countries.
There are plans to operate multiple daily service and to start cargo flights in view of the huge market potential between the two sisterly countries.
