When it comes to football, one cannot under estimate the emotion, urge and anticipation a home derby comes with. With supporters divided just by team of choice, brother hood runs in their blood and always look out to feeling bolder than the other.
This is truly so when two teams in the same region of location come to fight for supremacy. This Thursday, 22nd April, it will be a western derby in the Startimes Fufa Big League of Uganda.
Western region fast rising football giants ‘The Gorillas’, Kigezi Homeboyz FC will take on Terrazo and Tiles FC in a show for bragging rights at Kakyeka Stadium. The match that will be televised live on Sanyuka Tv, a local sports television will kick off at 4:00pm EAT.
In the past few months, Tiles and Terrazo FC had proved to be a worthy side having earlier been promoted to the Fufa Big League after a convincing playoff however their league run has not been an easy run.
The two sides come to this encounter with both having played 5 games, Tiles and Terrazo Fc having won none, lost 3 and drawn 2. On the other hand, Kigezi Homeboyz FC have won 1, lost 2 and drawn 2.
To all the football enthusiasts and lovers, this is probably one you shouldn’t miss out especially on your screens given the football restriction of not more than 200 supporters inside stadiums on game day.
