On June 3rd, 2024, the annual Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations will be held at the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, with the Nebbi Diocese taking the lead in organizing this significant event. This day honors the 45 young men who were martyred between 1885 and 1887 for their Christian faith.
The celebrations have so far attracted thousands of pilgrims from all across Uganda, the East African region, and the African continent, as well as visitors from all over the world. They are united in commemorating the sacrifice and committed faith of the martyrs.
