Murchison falls translocated Giraffes increase to Twenty with recently sighted young calf at Lake Mburo National Park

Recent reports indicate that, 15 Giraffes translocated three years ago (2015) from Murchison Falls National Park to Lake Mburo National Park by Uganda Wildlife Authority have increased in population from 15 to 20 Giraffes with current sighting of a young calf in one of the families at Lake Mburo.

The Rothschild’s giraffes are some of the tallest & most endangered subspecies of giraffes, and you can have a chance of watching them while at Lake Mburo National Park.

This is so far good news for visitors and Murchison Falls National Park as they expect the numbers to grow more in the coming years.
