Nigerian movie star Omotola Jalade, has been invited to be a member of The Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Academy ‘’THE OSCARS’’.
Omotola broke this exciting news on her Instagram page about the invite as she wrote ‘’It’s with great joy and sense of responsibility that I announce my invite upon being a member of the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Academy ‘’THE OSCARS’’. I am truly elated’’.
The Academy is a global organization representing the best of an international art form with members from countries all-over the World. Membership is only limited to film artists working in the production of theatrically-released motion picture.
Omotola Jalade was recently nominated for the 2018 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards in the Best Actress Drama category for her film Alter Ego. The film has been nominated nine times in different categories.
With various awards under her belt, including TIME 100 Most influential in the World, and having acted in over 200 films, Omotola’s invite to be a Member of the Academy is very well deserved.
