On Saturday 08th September 2018, Omukama Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV celebrated his 23rd coronation anniversary in a ceremony that was attended by delegates from the Government of Uganda, Tooro Kingdom officials, district officials and locals.
The celebrations kicked off with prayers at St John’s Cathedral led by Bishop Reuben Kisembo from Rwenzori Diocese. Oyo was in company of Tooro Queen mother Best Kemigisha, Kingdom Prime Minsiter Bernard Tungakwo, princess Bagaya among many more who later hosted hundreds at the Palace.
Born on the 16th April 1992 to King Patrick David Mathew Kaboyo Olimi III and Queen Best Kemigisa Kaboyo , he ascended to the throne on 12th September 1995 till present.
Oyo called upon leaders and locals to join hands in developing Fort Portal town to make it better and be able to compete with other towns in Uganda.
