His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, the Cabinet Minister and Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, welcomed the President at the airport.
On Monday evening, His Excellency Gen. (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda, arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and the ruler of Abu Dhabi. His visit is to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a global platform dedicated to addressing some of the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.
In addition to Sheikh Shakhboot, other officials present to welcome the President included H.E. Abdalla Hassan Al Shamsi, the Head of Mission of the UAE Embassy to Uganda; Hon. Kiryowa Kiwanuka, the Attorney General; and Hon. Martin Mugarra, the State Minister for Tourism. Uganda’s Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Amb Zaake Kibedi, along with other government officials, were also in attendance.
