The just-concluded Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon was a spectacular display of athleticism, unity, and community spirit. On a crisp, mild morning in the home of Rwenzori mountains, Kasese, thousands of runners from all walks of life gathered to participate in this annual event, which has become a much-anticipated tradition in the region.
The Rwenzori Marathon, sponsored by Tusker Lite, was not just about racing against the clock but also about making a positive impact communities and tackling climate change.
This year’s marathon continued its tradition of contributing to the betterment of the local community. Funds raised from the marathon will go towards various community development projects, including improving access to clean water, healthcare, and education. It’s heartwarming to see how a simple act of running can create lasting change in the lives of those in need.
One of the standout aspects of this marathon is the stunning natural backdrop it offers to participants.
