Kampala Uganda, 12 Feb 2016 -Ruparelia Group was recognized for their contribution to the tourism industry by bagging three nominations, the highest by a group, in the Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards and Exhibition.
Speke Resort Munyonyo, a subsidiary of the Ruparelia Group, was nominated for Best Service/Luxury Standard Hotel. Ruparelia Group as a group was nominated for Best Supporting Corporate Company and Best Tourism Investor.
Ruparelia Group has hotels like Speke Resort Munyonyo, Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo, Speke Hotel, Tourist Hotel, Kabira Country Club among others.
Speke Resort Munyonyo which stands a chance to win an award as Best Service/Luxury Standard Hotel offers the ultimate luxury accommodation and leisure facilities, conference and business meetings.
The hotel is situated in an tranquil setting in Munyonyo, 30 minutes away from Kampala City- and by the shores of Lake Victoria. It has an Olympic size swimming pool, equestrian centre, 5 star restaurants, gymnasium and hotel sports facilities.
Greg Petzer, the General Manager of Speke Resort Munyonyo described the nomination as ‘a great honor’ and was confident that they will win the award because ‘the team has worked hard to maintain standards and excellence’.
The hotel has received numerous awards in the past because of their good works in the hospitality industry. The Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards and Exhibition takes place Friday 12th February, 2016, at Hotel Africana.
