The weekend beginning Friday 26th to Sunday 28th April 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.
01. Blankets & Wine Kampala at Lugogo Cricket Oval
Blankets and Wine 2019 edition will be happening this Sunday April 28th at Lugogo Cricket Oval. Get to enjoy good music, fun, hang with friends as you dance to songs performed live by Shekhinah, Legendary Sammy Kasule, King Saha among many more.
Gates will be open by midday. Tickets are available at Zone 7.
02. Evoke Night Season three premieres happening at Forest Mall Parking Lot this Friday
The season’s premier for Evoke night season three will be taking place come Friday 26th April 2019 at the Lugogo based Forest Mall parking.
This time around, the episode is a thrilling ride as Evoke is determined to select out the best talents in each Evoke elements of Poetry /Spoken word, Vocal skills, Fashion, Rap, Dance not forgetting Live Band skills as participants with these talents will be given a stage to showcase what they can do best on the same stage.
Entrance is only Shs 20,000 and Showtime is 7pm.
This Event is sponsored by Club beer in partnership with Maisha Film Lab for Film, Babishai Niwe poetry Foundation for Spoken word and Simples entertainment for DJ.
03. Friday Night Live featuring Chris Evans and Afrigo Band at Guvnor
Catch the Legendary Afrigo band performing alongside Chris Evans this Friday at Guvnor Uganda in the Friday Night Live edition.
Lots of amazing all time classics to dance and sing along to as the band will be performing back to back together with Chris Evans.
Entrance is Shs50, 000 and Doors open by 9pm.
04. Kalabash Tribal House Rave happening at The Square
This Saturday, Join the Kalabash Tribal house Rave at the Square and dance to some Raggaeton, dancehall, electronic music, among many more genres on a one rooftop party.
Music will be blended and mixed by; Mr Mankwa, Omutaba Nggoma, Fya Leboof, Faizal Mostrixx, and Dj Ska Face starting 8pm.

05. Party Priests or Beasts happening at The Five horsemen
This Friday, Party like either a Priest or beast at the Five horsemen, Gaba Road while you party with Nyege Nyege finest MCs.
The night will be warmed by MC Elle B (Laila) who has vibrant rap flow and soothing vocals featuring MC Yalla, DJ Raffa, Ecko Bazz, Blaq Bandana, Swordman Kitala, Him Kim, and Leila.
Entrance is Shs 10k and Showtime is 8pm.
06. East African Meat Carnival at The Gardens, Najjera
This Saturday, Music will blend with meet at The Gardens Najjera starting midday. Qwela Band will be playing you the best live music as you mix and mingle with friends and family at The East African Meat Carnival.
Entrance is just 3 beers at Shs10K.
07. Miss Curvy Uganda Grand Finale at Imperial Royale Hotel
Want to see which female got the best curves in Uganda? Worry not; the Miss Curvy Uganda Grand Finale will be taking place this Friday April 26th at Imperial Royale hotel as all contestants are ready to showcase what their Mama’s gave them.
The event begins at 5pm and is organised by Mungoma Events.

08. Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe
Get to watch Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe every Sunday starting 5PM to 6.30PM for beautiful songs & dance with Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy as they while away the evening to a beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Victoria. They bring you performances from the East Africa Community.
Entrance Charges: Adults above 21 – Ugx 20,000, Ages 12 to 20 – Ugx 10,000, Children under 11 years – Free entrance.
09. Digital Content Master Class at The Square
Catch digital marketing tutorials and lessons at The Square, Industrial area this Saturday 27th April as key experts will be taking you through areas like; Content Marketing, Localized content for Uganda’s Market: Case Study, Monetizing Your Content, and Effective posting.
The classes will be on from 9AM – 4PM.
10. Annual Women Entrepreneurs’ Social 2019 at Kati Kati Restaurant
The Annual Women Entrepreneurs’ Social will be taking place this Thursday April 25th starting 5 -9pm at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo Bypass.
Speaker of the Day will be Ms. Linnet Nkunda – Managing Director for Krystal Ice Limited and she will be talking more about Growth. Go Network, learn and do some shopping from women who have walked the Journey as entrance is only Shs10, 000.
