The weekend beginning Friday 31st May to Sunday 2nd June 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.
01. The 7th Edition for Rukundo Egumeho – Bakiga Nation 2019 at UMA Lugogo
Bakiga Nation is back and this time around, the 7th edition of Kigezi gathering and community event themed ‘’Rukundo Egumeho’’ will be happening UMA Upper Lugogo come Sunday June 2nd 2019.
Expect lots of fun and activities including; Ekizino, Enturire, Okugana, Obushera, Enyama and Okusakuza.
Entrance is Shs10K Adults and Shs5K Kids.
Gates open at 2pm.
02. Jinja Special Day Out at Ultimate Base Camp
The Specials’ Day Out is a one night and two day unique, fully fun filled and adventurous event held in Jinja, Eastern Uganda every year. It brings together a vast level of young people across East Africa including young business associates, investors, Company owners, consultants, Top Celebrated Young East Africans, performing artistes, Tourists, and so many other young professionals.
The Event is organized by Adventure Network (UG), and takes place every first weekend of June every Year.
The First Specials Day Out is slated for 1st and 2nd June 2019 and will be held at the Source of the Nile River.

03. Ultra Music Experience at Nexus Lounge
Ultra Music Experience Ft. Mr. Silverback (UG). There will be two Djs with International Experience on one stage come Sunday June 2nd at Nexus Lounge starting 8pm.
Expect great Vibes all night while part of the Unique DJ experience Kampala has never seen.

04. Kigezi Tourism Cluster Marathon happening this Sunday
The Kigezi Tourism Cluster Marathon will be on this Sunday June 2nd with set off point at Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale starting 6AM.
The theme for this year’s marathon which is to be launched from Kabale Stadium on 2nd June, 2019 is; “Conserve Lake Bunyonyi, Save Lives”. This is intended to raise funds for conserving the shores of the Lake by planting appropriate trees on its banks, and some roads as well as address a major health challenge.
The funds raised will be used to purchase 10,000 tree seedlings and re-roof the buildings of Bwama Hospital which were blown away by the wind.

05. KWV Kampala Wine Fair at Protea hotel, Kampala
This Friday, the inaugural KWV Kampala Wine Fair will be having a wine affair with over 100 types of wines in all styles and flavours accompanied with cheese and chocolate pairings hosted by the KWV Wine Maker JOLIZE VAN WYK.

Guests will have an opportunity to taste not only the KWV Wines but a host of other wines in the Vicland Distributor portfolio from Laborie to Golden Kaan to Tall Horse to mention but a few.

06. VIGA Music Awards 2019 at Kampala Serena Hotel
VIGA Music awards will be happening this Friday May 31st at the Kampala Serena hotel.
Get to see who your best Gospel artistes are in this year’s full line up of amazing nominees.
Gates will be open by 4pm and entrance is; Shs100K Ordinary, Shs300k VIP and a Table will go for Shs3 million.
07. Funky Friday – Karaoke 2.0 at Design Hub
Design Hub and Creatures Animation will this Friday host the Funky Friday, Karaoke madness in a way to celebrate the weekend by singing your heart out to your favourite tunes either individually or with a group.
Showtime is 6pm.
08. Back to Pulsations ll at the Factory, Plot 110
This Saturday, catch up with Back to Pulsations ll at the Factory Plot 110, Industrial Area and party in the old skool plot.
DJ Kool Moe Dee will be blazing revelers the best old skool music from the 80s and 90s.
09. Guvnor Saturday Night Fever
Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.
Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.
10. Club Music Presents SIP ‘N’ DIP happening at Cayenne Restaurant
Club music’s Sip N Dip is back with a bang as it will feature International entertainment maniacs Stones and Bones at Cayenne Restaurant and Bar, Bukoto.
The Party will begin at 7pm this Friday May 31st. Expect an incredible Experience of Afro-House music and beats like never before with the legendary duo Stones and Bones.
There will be showcase of the best & brightest electronic music talent in East Africa to the world.
