The weekend beginning Friday 7th to Sunday 9th June 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.
01. Eastern Region Trade Fair at Mbale Municipal Stadium
If you are in Mbale, Passby Mbale Municipal Stadium for the 11th edition of the annual Eastern Region Trade fair going on effective Thursday June 6th till Sunday 16th June 2019.
The (ERTF) is a multi-sectoral event which will provide a wide platform for exhibiting products and services in various sectors; industrial/manufacturing, construction, textile, foods and beverages, education, packaging, printing and stationery, business and financial services, telecommunication and information technology, leather, handcrafts, wood and wooden items, agricultural products and machinery, tourism and travel services
The Fair begins 10AM every day.
02. Dance n’ Beats Cultural experience SN2 at Kampala Serena hotel
The Dance n’ beats Cultural experience Season two, is on this Sunday June 9th at the Kampala Serena hotel.
Get to celebrate the uniqueness of Uganda’s culture and dance in a night well packaged with exceptional performers.
Entrance is Shs 100k and Table Shs 2 Million.
03. The Lock down ft. Kwesta and Sun-El at MTN Warehouse
This Friday June 7th, catch the party at the Johnnie Walker powered Lock down Party featuring Kwesta and multi-talented Sun-El Da musician alongside an array of local DJs and artists at MTN warehouse starting 7pm.
Revelers will part with Shs 50k for entrance.
04. Jamming at Mabira Forest
How about if you spent this Saturday in the thick forest of Mabira Jamming whole day as you blend up with a number of exciting activities including Zip lining, Bird watching, Silent disco, Nature Walk, Wild games, and Camp fires.
Trip costs $50 (Shs150, 000) and comes with Silent disco headphone, Transport, feeding among other activities.
05. First Friday Sol Jazz Band at Endiro Coffee
This Friday, there will be a great live band experience played by Sol Jazz Band. Get to enjoy the soothing evening while you catch a sip of your favorite coffee.
Performances begin at 7pm and entrance is free for all revelers.
06. Nexus Lounge thirsty Thursday Amplified edition ft. Band Cindy
Nexus will this Thursday host their weekly ‘’Thursday Amplified edition’’ featuring dancehall queen Cindy and her band in a live band experience.
Expect massive entertainment from Dj Hot, Dj Babaz, Dj Alberto, Ali Amsta and MC Mush.
Entrance is free & VIP tables go for Shs200k which comes with a bottle of Jameson or Black label.
Showtime is 8pm.
07. Gospel Rendezvous with Brian Lubega at Design Hub
This Saturday June 8th, get to catch some soul Gospel soothing music experience by Brian Lubega as he will perform songs such as; ‘Ndiwuwe’, ‘Nungamya’ and ‘Wakitiibwa’ among many more.
Tickets cost UGX30k advance, UGX50k at the door, UGX100k VIP and UGX400K a table. Event begins at 7pm.
08. Unseen Me Exhibition 2019 at Uganda Museum Hall
Streetlights Uganda is hosting the third edition of their annual ‘’Un seen me Exhibition’’ at the Uganda Museum (Hall) from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th June 2019.
Don’t miss exciting performances, screenings, talks, exhibitions from some of mentees and their mentors, workshops, fashion show, stalls and many other activities. These are spread out on all the three days to bring you a thrilling, exciting and informative experience.
Tickets Cost; UGX10k per day and UGX30k for the 3 days. Early bird tickets go for 8k and 24k for 3day
09. Ebonies performing ‘’Love Triangle – Leenya’’ at Theatre Labonita
The Ebonies will be performing their production dubbed “Love Triangle – Leenya”. The shows will be on Friday 7th, Saturday 8th, and Sunday 9th June 2019 starting 7pm at theater La Bonita Kampala.
Entrance Fee; 1st Class 25,000 & VIP 30,000
10. Guvnor Saturday Night Fever
Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.
Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.
