The weekend beginning Friday 9th to Sunday 11th August 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we bring you the eye catching top events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calendar this Weekend.
01. Comedy Store UG at UMA, Lugogo
Comedy Store UG will this Thursday host a line-up of amazing stars, Sheebah Karungi, Fik Fameica and Steve Keys will make musical performances while Comedians; Maulana and Reign, Bobi Brown and Nilo Nilo, Crazy University, Kabata, The Might Family, Kalela, Dr T_ Amale, MC Mariachi will be cracking down your ribs with the funniest jokes.
Catch music mixes by Dj Lolah, Showtime is 6pm while entrance will be Shs20K General, Shs 50,000 VIP and Table of 4 at Shs400k.
02. Log In Fridays at F.A.M.E Lounge, Kololo
Fame lounge, one of the latest premium nightlife spots in Kampala, brings you Login Fridays, get to party, grove, hangout and make new friends every Friday in the hub of Kololo. Fame Lounge, Bar and Restaurant is an Ideal place to unwind.
Grab Katogo at only Shs 5k starting 4AM to wash off the hangover.
Login Fridays features Deejays like; Nash, Bancs, and DJ Slaughter Elly who will take you till dawn playing the biggest hits in town.
03. Red Hills showing at Design Hub
Red Hills Movie Synopsis – A Revisit of Rwandan History following the 1994 experiences of two men from vastly different cultures as they relive events of their first meeting during the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
This movie is directed by Asiimwe Deborah Kawe and Produced Aganza Kisaka.
It will be showing at Design Hub this Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting 7:30pm (19:30hrs) respectively on each day.
04. Ekyooto Cultural & Food Festival
Ekyooto Cultural & Food Festival will be going down at the Uganda Museum this Weekend starting Friday 9th – Sunday 11th August 2019 form 10am.
This is a three days event where different cultures both local and international come together to showcase their uniqueness through; Food, Art, Music, Folklore, Storytelling, Fashion and Design, Literature, Technology and more.
05. Shimza performing at Club SIP N DIP this Friday
Looking for where to party this Friday, Club Sip n’ Dip brings you yet another edition featuring Shimza at Cayenne Bar and Lounge, Bukoto.
He will take you through a tasteful EDM and Afro-house night while he also features Paso Doble, the Canadian Afro house pioneer and Zambian top Dj and Producer El Mukuka.
They will also be joined by Kampala’s urban Deejays; Kas Baby, Chapat, Dj MT (UG/SA), Khalidos and Darkmeme / Since 88.
Early bird tickets go for Shs10K while General entry will be Shs20K. Showtime is 7pm.
06. Kampala Dance Gathering at Alliance Francaise
Catch the Kampala Dance gathering, an Improvisation and Composition in real time event that will take place at on 9th of August at the Alliance Francaise Kampala.
It’s also about artistic sharing and exchanging between choreographers and music composers as they bring up a new artistic expression and approach to build a new audience of this kind of work in Kampala art scene.
The event will feature artistes like; Walter Ruva, Joyce Nakiwala, Mpandire Herman, Ssenyonga Oscar, Robert Kibalama, Sulaiman, Dj Embefola and Okello Lawrence starting 7pm.
07. Cultural Nite Live Show at Spykerz Lounge, Malaba
This Saturday, Spykerz Lounge, Malaba will host a Cultural nite live show featuring and featuring Bamasaba Cultural dancers.
The show will be hosted by Dj Goddy and MC Virgin starting 6pm. Lots of activities like; Fashion showcases, Dance, Cultural exhibitions, and back to back nonstop music whole night and performances.
Entrance is Shs5K (Ugandans) and Kshs150.
08. Cindy & John Blaq performing at Soft Life Inn, Kigungu Entebbe
This Friday, new kid on the block; John Blaq together with Cindy (the Queen herself) will be thrilling fans down in Kigungu, Entebbe, Wakiso.
Get to party with the stars as they blaze you the baddest hits in town at Soft Life Inn in a show dubbed ‘’Experience Total Satisfaction Mu Do Dat’’.
Entrance is Shs10K Ordinary and Shs20K VIP.
09. Wakanda Infinity Friday In The Courtyard
Looking forward for a solid party plan this Friday, here’s the proggie, Bubbles O’Learys,Kololol brings you Wakanda Infinity Friday and this will be happening every first Friday of the Month.
Lots of party and fun activities including; Face Painting and excessive music mixed whole night
Dress Code Truly African wear.
Entrance is Shs 7k on the House and includes Face/Body Art.
Showtime 7pm
10. Guvnor Saturday Night Fever
Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.
Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.
