The weekend beginning Friday 08th to Sunday 09th February 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.
01. Kampala Praise Fest with Don Moen
On Friday 8th February, RG Consulting will be hosting the Kampala Praise Fest 2019 with International Gospel singer and worship leader Don Moen at Kololo Airstrip.
Lots of entertainment and performances from Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Watoto Children’s Choir, Levixone, Exodus, Sandra Suubi, Isaac Rucci, KPF Voice, Brian Lubega, Apostle Grace Lubega and DJ Twonjex.

02. Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe
Get to watch Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe every Sunday starting 5.00pm to 6.30pm for beautiful songs & dance with Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy as they while away the evening to a beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Victoria. They bring you performances from the East Africa Community.
Entrance Charges: Adults above 21 – Ugx 20,000, Ages 12 to 20 – Ugx 10,000, Children under 11 years – Free entrance.
03. Soul Junction live at Otters
This Saturday 9th Feb, Otters Bar, Kololo will be hosting a Soul Junction. Lots of great melodies to hear from in the genres of RnB, Soul, Blues, Old skool and funk.
Showtime will be 9pm and entrance is free.
This Event is hosted by Blues Excuse and Otters Bar
04. 90’s x Vintage Day Party at KQ Hub
he 70’s were groovy, the 80’s were totally awesome, but everyone knows that the 90’s were downright crazy exciting. The 90’s Fashion, Flava and especially the Music was great. This Sunday February 10th, KQ Hub in partnership with Kwynn Kyohan – Gatare Florencio will be taking you down memory lane as they mix you old skool RnB, Hip hop and Trap, Sultry, funky soul and house music.
Dress Code will strictly be 90’s x vintage themed. Other Deejays to mix the music will be DJ Maintain, Hibotep, Poko Poko, and TNT 256 –DJ.
05. Feminism & Body Politics – Creative Talks Africa at Design Hub
This Friday, join the first Edition of the Creative Talks Africa session in 2019 hosted by KQ and Design Hub Kampala.
For February edition, there will be a mix of Creatives on a panel delving deep into the topic “Feminism & Body Politics” in relation to their Creative endeavors.
The panel will comprise Esther Ruth Mbabazi (professional documentary photographer), Gloria Wavamuno (Founder for Kampala Fashion Week, Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur), Arnold Aganze (Film Director)
This event will be moderated by Acaye Elizabeth Pamela
06. Amnesia Hunter’s Night Hosted by DJ Shiru
Put on your animal print clothes and party in amazon Club Amnesia this Saturday. Great mixes by DJs Nimrod, Switch, Herbert, Luidee and DJ Shiru as chief hunters of the night.
Showtime is 8pm and entrance is free!
07. Friday Night Lights Season 8 Day 7 at Panamera Bar
Catch the Tusker Lite Friday Night Lights at Panamera bar, Kampala this Friday evening starting 6pm. There will be amazing entertainment as you enjoy exciting basketball from various teams.

08. Smirnoff Ice Green Apple Bite Launch Party
Catch the official launch for Smirnoff ice green apple bite flavour at Panamera bar this Saturday Feb 9th. Amazing music mixes from DJ Ssese, DJ Jo and will be hosted by McKenzie.
Showtime is 6PM.
09. Hip Hop and Break Dance Sessions at Alliance Francaise
This Friday evening, catch some hip hop and break dance sessions at Alliance Francaise with professional dance instructors.
There will also be ciphers, waacking and popping.
Sessions begin at exactly 6pm – 8:30pm.
10. A Toast to Love this Valentine’s Day at Kampala Serena hotel
Toast to love this Valentine’s Day over a romantic dinner and get serenaded with love melodies from Afrigo Band , Aziz Azion, Naava Grey , Geosteady and Happy Kyazze for only Ugx 250,000/= singles and Ugx 450, 000 per couple at the Kampala Serena Hotel on February 14th 2019 starting 7:30pm.
