The weekend beginning Friday 15th to Sunday 17th February 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.
01. Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe
Get to watch Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe every Sunday starting 5.00pm to 6.30pm for beautiful songs & dance with Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy as they while away the evening to a beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Victoria. They bring you performances from the East Africa Community.
Entrance Charges: Adults above 21 – Ugx 20,000, Ages 12 to 20 – Ugx 10,000, Children under 11 years – Free entrance.
02. African Movie Night Binge Sunday at National Theatre
Catch African Movie night binge at the Uganda National Cultural centre this Sunday as you enjoy all the screenings for the movies you missed out in January.

03. Harvest Money Expo at Namboole Stadium
This Weekend starting 15th -17th February 2019, Harvest Money Expo will be going on at Mandela National Stadium.
Go learn about the latest farming methods as trained by experts both local and international and also get chance to interact with high ranked farmers as also available will be authentic agricultural utilities for sale.
The Event will begin at 9AM – 12AM daily. This event is powered by Vision Group.
Entrance is UGX10,000 and UGX10,000 for Training Sessions per day.
04. 1st Strategic Leaders’ summit to take place at Kampala Sheraton Hotel
Uganda is set to host a strategic Leaders summit under the theme, “Innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship development in times of uncertainties”.
Organized by Human Capital International (HCI) a human capital development company based in the UK with offices in Ghana and here in Uganda, The Summit, which is going to be an annual event is scheduled for the 20th of February at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala.
05. African Movie Night at ONE54, Gaba Road
Catch top-notch African films from the African Movie Night Kampala catalogue every Sunday at ONE54, Ggaba Road opposite Bunga Market starting 7pm.
Look out for such gems like The Lucky Specials, LUMUMBA, Desert Flower, House of Lungula, Zamora, etc.

06. Apio Moro performing this Friday
Apio Moro presents ‘’Moving Closer’’ at The Lazy Pony on the 16th February, preceding her performance at “CHOORE” come Friday-22nd-March.
The Japadhola singer/songwriter/acoustic guitarist will be sharing with tales from her journey the past year through her music in an intimate get together.
Entrance fee: 20,000 UGX
07. 10 Years anniversary for Jazz Ville Bugolobi and Code 9 Band
Code 9 Band and Jazz Ville, bar and restaurant are celebrating 10 years this Friday at their premises, Jazz ville, Bugolobi.
Catch special performances from Raggae maestro Madoxx Ssemanda Ssematimba who will be performing alongside Code 9 band.
Massive entertainment whole night.

08. A tribute to Oliver Mtukudzi at Design Hub
This Sunday, there will be a tribute for fallen Zimbabwean singer Oliver Mtukudzi at Design Hub. There will be amazing performances from Myko Ouma, Charmant Mushaga and Joseph Sax.
Doors open by 7PM as performances commence at 8PM.
Entrance is UGX30K Advance, UGX 50K at the Door and VIP UGX100K.
09. Karaoke – Funky Friday at Design Hub this Friday
Get to enter the weekend this Friday in a funky mood spiced by karaoke at Design Hub, Industrial Area. Lots of BBQ, singing and drinks to usher you into the weekend.
Doors open at 4PM and Entrance is free.
10. Urban Night at Alliance Francaise
This Friday, there will be a slam poetry, hip hop and performances session dubbed Urban night at Alliance Francaise Kampala.
Lots of performances from guitarists and guest artists all at their rooftop.
Showtime is 7PM -10PM.
