01. Grand Opening of Hamz Stadium Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds this Saturday
Hamz Stadium Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds will fully open to the general public this Saturday, June 1st 2024.
The state-of-the-art sports facility fitted with a modern football play area, gym, shops, restaurants, resting rooms, and accommodation spaces among other amenities will now be wholly accessible to visitors, and sports enthusiasts.
The grand opening will feature live entertainment from a variety of Uganda artists, comedians, dancers, and live bands among others.
Uganda’a creme de la creme confirmed artistes to perform include Dr Jose Chameleon, Bebe Cool, Weasel, Eddy Kenzo, John Blaq, A Pass, B2C, Ray G, Spice Diana, Haruna Mubiru, Grenade Official, Sheeba, Rema Namakula, Fik Fameica, Madox Ssematimba, David Lutalo, Roden Y Kabako, Lydia Jazmine, Lil Pazo, Carol Nantongo, Winnie Nwagi, Alien Skin, Gravity Omutujju, Wembley Mo, and comedians including Mariachi, Madrat and Chicco, Teacher Mpamire, Amooti Omubaranguzi, Dr T – Amale, among others.
Entrance is Shs50k Ordinary, Shs100k VIP and Shs150k for Executive.
Other sports activities played on the day will include Netball, Boxing, Football, Fireworks display and Kickboxing.
02. Vumbula Uganda Festival at Nile Nest Jinja
Vumbula Uganda will be hosting its annual three-day event at the Nile Nest in Jinja City, Eastern Uganda from May 31st to June 3rd 2024.
Unearth the Pearl as you groove to massive entertainment from a lineup of 200 both local, regional and international acts, 2 stages and 3 days of Nonstop party in the realm of discovering tourism hidden gems in the Eastern region.
Entrance is Shs100k and set off will be at the Uganda Museum, Kitante.
03. Rancher’s Finest Backyard Meat Up with Chef Pablo
Embrace the new month in a Rancher’s Finest Backyard Meat Up with Chef Pablo this Saturday 1st June while you savor your taste buds in the finest tasty meat in town prepared by a master chef at Tales Lounge, Bukoto.
There will be lots of vibes and music mixes by DJ Grama 254, Selector Tymo, Jagen, Wagga, Villl Deejay and Hyperman Paul.
04. Guvnor Friday Night Live Featuring Afrigo Band and Ronald Mayinja
This Friday, Guvnor Uganda brings you the Friday Night Live Featuring AFRIGO Band and Ronald Mayinja. Get ready to groove to the classic live Music of Afrigo Band and Ronald Mayinja in Guvnor Main, in-house DJs will be keeping you on the dance floor in Guvnor 40+ with great music and great Sound. Great Memories.
Doors open at 9 pm and Entry fee is 50k.
05. 1,000 Spoken Words at MCI Hub, Kabalagala
The Heavenly Humour Hub and Church Laughs presents the 1,000 Spoken Words at MCI Hub in Kabalagala hosted by Tracy and Wake featuring 10+ Poets under the theme ‘’Advancing SDGs’’.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 1st and starts at 5 PM.
Entrance is Shs20,000.
06. Kenneth Mugabi at Skyz Protea Hotel Naguru
This Thursday, May 30th, celebrated crooner Kenneth Mugabi will be performing live alongside D#Maestros Band in a Skyz Exclusive at Skyz Protea Hotel, Naguru.
07. Live Band Thursdays at Rock Garden Cafe – Speke Hotel
Quench off mid-week work stress with a live band at the Rock Garden Cafe with a live band as they take you through your Thursday evening, full of soothing melodies and comforting sounds.
08. The Dubai Uganda Business Property Expo
The Association of Real Estate Agents in Uganda (AREA) will be hosting the Dubai Uganda Business to Business Property Expo scheduled for 31st May to June 2nd 2024.
The Expo will take place at the Fairway Hotel in Kampala.
This pivotal event is a bridge for real estate property investors and developers.
09. 13th edition of Bakiga Nation Rukundo Egumeho
The 13th edition of Bakiga Nation Rukundo Egumeho is happening this Sunday 2nd June 2024, at the Indian Association Grounds in Lugogo.
The annual event brings people of various cultures together while showcasing the wealth of the Bakiga tribe seen in their traditional dances, food, dress code and even their music. The stage of this thrilling ceremony has always managed to grace the crowds with entertainment from the most popular artists and this year it will be with the captivating songstress Sheebah Karungi to light up the stage.
10. Martyrs Day Celebrations at Namugongo
On June 3rd, 2024, the annual Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations will be held at the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, with the Nebbi Diocese taking the lead in organizing this significant event.
This day honours the 45 young men who were martyred between 1885 and 1887 for their Christian faith.
The celebrations have so far attracted thousands of pilgrims from all across Uganda, the East African region, and the African continent, as well as visitors from all over the world.
They are united in commemorating the sacrifice and committed faith of the martyrs.
