Uganda Airlines to make inaugural flight to Nairobi this Tuesday

The Long wait seems over for Ugandan, East African and regional Travelers as Uganda Airlines is scheduled to take on the skies for its inaugural flight this Tuesday 27th August 2019, this comes ahead of their initial resumption date earlier on communicated to be 28th August.

The inaugural flight from Entebbe International Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is said to last for 55 minutes and will depart at 10am.



 

Onboard will be Government Officials, Members of the Business Community, Media among other key stakeholders.

However, Wednesday August 28th still maintains to be the date for official commercial flights to Nairobi though with scheduled flights to Juba and Mogadishu having dominated the schedule. Wednesday flights are set to take off starting 6am prompt and will arrive Jomo Kenyatta International Airlines at 7:15am.

Earlier this Month, the Airlines announced promotional fares ahead of commercial operations as all amounts are inclusive of taxes and there is an option for one to make payment in the domestic Ugandan Shillings.

Uganda Airlines CRJ900 Aircraft will be flying – Twice daily flights to Nairobi and Juba, three times weekly to Mogadishu, Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro once a day, as well as Bujumbura and Mombasa thrice a week.

Nairobi – $278 for a return ticket

Juba – $225 for a return ticket

Mogadishu – $590 for a return ticket

Dar es Salaam – $286 for a return ticket

Bujumbura – $292 for a return ticket

Mombasa – $325 for a return ticket

Kilimanjaro – $311 for a return ticket
