In a grand display of diplomatic prowess and organizational finesse, Uganda is all set to host the 19th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Commencing today, January 15, 2024, and continuing until January 23, this significant international event will convene at the state-of-the-art Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo.

The newly constructed Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo will serve as the nerve center for the summit, where leaders from NAM member states will convene to discuss pressing global issues. A new Passenger Terminal Building at Entebbe International Airport is among the facilities that will welcome delegates attending the NAM conference in Uganda.

The closure of the Entebbe Expressway, a major artery connecting the city to the airport, may inconvenience commuters, emphasizing the heightened security protocols in place for this prestigious event.
