International expats who come for tourism easily relate and make new friends, country ranks fifth tourism destination, Trump excited about rescue of female American tourist.
Uganda’s President, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently expressed that Uganda is a safe haven for tourists and that kidnap incidences that happened to Jean Paul Mirenge, a Ugandan tour guide and female American tourist Kimberly Sue Endecott aged 35 should not scare away those contemplating visiting our national parks.
Museveni went ahead and assured Ugandans and tourists that there’s enough security in Uganda’s national parks for their safety.
“I want to reassure the country and our tourists that Uganda is safe and we shall continue to improve the security in our parks. Come and enjoy the Pearl of Africa,” says President Museveni.
The president further said that the isolated cases of crime will be defeated.
“We shall deal with these isolated pockets of criminals. However, I want to reassure the country and our tourists that Uganda is safe and we shall continue to improve the security in our parks. Come and enjoy the Pearl of Africa,” Mr Museveni said via his twitter handle.
In recent survey conducted yearly by Inter Nations, an international community and information site for people who live and work abroad, indicates that Uganda ranks fifth among top 10 countries globally where expats easily make new friends and generally feel at home.
The survey further notes that while many people struggle to find friends when they move abroad, Uganda “has always been an excellent destination for expatriates looking to find friends easily”.
United States of America President, Donald Trump took to his tweeter timeline and shared excitement is he was pleased to see Kimberly Sue Endicott and her tour guide rescued without harm.
“God bless them and their families!” he added.
