The second runner up in last year’s Miss Tourism competition, Anitah Ayebare, will be representing Uganda in this year’s Miss Tourism World contest scheduled to take place in Porec, Corotia.
Uganda Tourism Board, Chief Executive Officer, Lilly Ajarova flagged off the beauty queen to the Miss Tourism World pageant.
Commenting on why the second runner up would represent the country instead of the winner, Challa Elma Kapel from Karamoja, Allan Kanyike, the coordinator of the pageant, said that they had decided to send Ayebare because Kapel is already represented Uganda in Malaysia.
He further stated that the choice was made basing on her potential.
