What you study after secondary school influence which career you take. This is why it is important to choose your career path wisely. Making a wrong choice prepares you failing in life. In this spirit Victoria University is addressing this and other professional challenge students in secondary schools face.
Starting on Monday 28th March to 1st April, Victoria University will host hundreds of A’level leavers at this years Leavers Plugin, a program aimed at training student is various life’s aspects. Success Africa’s Ethan Musolini will be the lead facilitator at the five day training.
Julia Kushemererwa, head of research and product development at Success Africa, in an interview, said many people complain about the poor quality of graduates but no one is coming up to offer solutions. She adds that the Leavers Plugin aims to prepare students to build own capacities.
Oscar Kamukama, the marketing and recruitment specialist at Victoria University, explained that the Leavers Plugin is aimed at keeping students busy and informed during their long holiday
“We are a university and schools are a feeder for universities. So we target S5 and S6, these are guys who will be joining Universities tomorrow. We don’t want them when they are coming to study, we want them in a raw format so that we can grow with them.” Oscar explained why they are engaging the vacists.
The training is organized by Victoria University, Success Africa Limited and other partners. It will take place at the university campus.
