Leaving aside the exodus for musicians and entertainers crossing into Politics, Uganda’s number one Dancehall sensation Ziza Bafana is yet another force to reckon on in the industry with regards to embarking on outing political lyrics same move that Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine started on decade ago.
The dancehall general as self proclaimed just released another massive song tittled “Batutunze”.
“Batutunze” is a Luganda native word literally meaning ‘’we have been sold or all our resources have been sold off’’.
In this song Ziza Bafana hints on the current political atmosphere directing message to Politicians that have not fulfilled whatever was sent of them to represent their masses and instead have betrayed by selling off every little the country has to offer thus failing to meet demands of their loyal voters.
What is in the Song that makes one love to listen more and more?
The self-proclaimed Katonda wa Ragga cites that leaders “MPs” have sold off the Country. He also speaks of uncertainty of the future generation in what he sings as deteriorating state of affairs with moral degeneration, corruption, culture erosion. In the same lyrics, Ziza prays that God our motherland.
