Weekend Buzz: Bebe Cool holds successful historic Golden heart Concert

Last week, one of Uganda’s leading music icons Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool held a historic concert  dubbed ‘’The Golden Heart Concert’’ at the Kololo Independence Grounds (Airstrip) where President Museveni was the Chief Guest.

The show that took place on Friday 03rd August 2018 inside a dorm was well attending by Kampala’s nightlife revelers who enjoyed the whole evening dancing to and singing along song by song as performed live by Bebe Cool.

By 10pm, Bebe Cool stepped on stage kicking off with the first phase of performance where he also featured trending hip –hop sensation Fik Fameica who spiced up the crowd with his ‘’My Property’’ song that got most people sing along as they danced their way out.

At exactly 11pm, President Museveni arrived and the national anthem was sang with due respect. He lauded Bebe Cool for lifting Ugandan music to the heights where he also advised local artistes to focus on composing music that has large cultural diversity and blend it with western instruments and create a unique sound for Uganda.

Museveni also advised the youth to party wisely as they are aware that Aids is real, he urged them to enjoy the freedom he brought to this country as war torn countries like Somalia, there’s no way of enjoying fun.

As the saying goes blessed is the hand that giveth that one that taketh, the President ordered for an open bar where every attendee was to get free drinks whole night long as the show went on till wee hours.

Bebe Cool stepped back on stage after the President’s speech and kicked off another phase of performance with songs like Batidemu, love you every day, Up and wine, Agenze, Big size, Want it, Minzani, Ndi wuwo, everywhere I go, Go mama, Freedom, and tribute song to late Radio – Zuena as originally sang by Radio and Weasel among many more.

It should be noted that this was the first concert to be attended by His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
