Named after a popular Christmas song that breaks down a series of grand gifts given on each of the twelve days of Christmas, the 12 Days of Christmas initiative aims at reaching out to less fortunate members of society as well as to individuals and organizations that have made a remarkable difference in the lives of their community members.

The initiative that started on 1st December with a visit to Nakaseke-based ACCESS Uganda continued with the telco’s staff visiting Raphael Children’s Charity and Center for the Visually Impaired Children of Uganda on Monday, and Noah’s Ark Home of kids with Disabilities.

On Saturday, Airtel Uganda launched the 2018 edition of ’12 Days of Christmas’ – their annual Christmas initiative which aims to share the joy of Christmas with communities and to bring hope to less fortunate individuals, families and communities across the country.

As part of the 12 Days of Christmas initiative, Airtel Uganda staff members nominate different individuals, organizations or causes and deliver to them different items to not only share the joy of Christmas and bring hope to their lives, but also to give them necessities to help them go through the festive season and the year to come.

Other beneficiaries will include Kapalaga Heart Foundation in Bunga, Tusome Africa – Game our Schools in Iganga, Ursula School of the Disabled in Jinja and Angel’s Center in Wakiso.

This year’s beneficiaries will also include a 7-year old girl named Emmanuella who needs financial assistance to go for a heart surgery in India.
