The weekend beginning Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.
As always at Guide2Uganda we bring you the eye catching top events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calendar this Weekend.
01. Kabale Sharp FC Open Football trials at Kabale Main Stadium
Recently unveiled soccer team for Kigezi region – Kabale Sharp FC, the top sports club in Kigezi region based in the proposed Kabale Tourism City commonly referred to as the “Pride Of Kigezi” will hold open football this weekend beginning Friday 26th – Sunday 28th July 2019 at Kabale Main Stadium starting 9am.
The open football trials set to last three (3) days will help select players that will represent the club in the FUFA big league for the 2019/20.
02. Comedy Store at UMA Feat, Diamond Platinumz and Eric Omondi
This Thursday July 25th, Comedy Store will be hosting East Africa’s and Africa’s most talented Super stars singer; Diamond Platinumz and Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi as they will be curtain raised by Comedians; MC Mariachi, Kalela, T- Amale, The Mighty Family, Senga Justine Nantume, Maulana and Reign, MC Godi Godi ,Ivuga Band, DJ Lolah and Singer King Saha.
The show kicks off at 6pm as entrance is Shs50K Ordinary, Shs150K VIP and Tables Shs1 Million. Tickets are sold at the door.
03. Club Amnesia Thursday Campus Night Featuring Daddy Andre
This Thursday, Daddy Andre will be premiering his latest music video ‘Sikukweka’ at Club Amnesia’s Campus Night.
Lots of entertainment and Music mixed by Galaxy FM Deejays. Showtime is 8pm as entrance will be free for campusers with valid IDs.
04. Friday Night Live Featuring Afrigo band and B2C
This Friday, get to party at the Guvnor Uganda Friday night live featuring Afrigo Band and Kampala’s chart topping boys the B2C who will be special guest performers of the night in a live band performance.
Resident Deejays will be mixing in Guvnor 40+, Doors open 9pm.

05. Guvnor Saturday Night Fever
Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.
Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.
06. Naava Grey performing at Fezah, Design Hub
Ugandan songstress Naava Grey will be performing live at Design Hub, Bugolobi this Saturday July 27th.
Get to listen to songs like; Aliba waani, Ninga O’ Muloge, Soka lami among many more from Naava Grey as the event is organised by Fezah.
Doors open by 7pm and performances begin at 8pm, entrance is Shs50K for early bird while at the Gate Shs70K, Shs100K VIP, and Shs 700K a Table.
07. Nexus Lounge star Saturday July Edition with Djs Slick Stuart & Roja
This Saturday, Nexus Lounge will be hosting their star Saturday edition featuring Deejays Slick Stuart and Roja.
Buy a Tables at 200k (comes with a bottle) as the event begins at 8pm.
08. Dekabusa” Stage Battle at Pope Paul Memorial hotel, Ndeeba
The Ebonies will this Friday July 26th be live in a stage play dubbed “DEKABUSA” Stage Battle as they will versus Bakayimbira Dramactors.
Catch amazing music performances from Gravity Omutujju and Chosen Becky spiced up by Comedy from Maulana & Reign
Showtime is 7pm and entrance fee is Shs 10,000 ONLY
09. Kwepena at Legends Lugogo
Kwepena, the biggest multicultural celebration of African games is back, bigger and better in the Fourth edition. It is that time of the year to embrace African identity as you play the African way.
With African culture and customs gradually being eclipsed by Western cultures, Kwepena is used to promote African sports such as Kwepena, Dduulu, Buladda, Sonko, Chokolo which are under a threat of extinction due to “modernisation”.
Go to Legends this Sunday July 28th 2019 with your squad because it’s team sports.
Lots of exciting Deejays will be mixing with lit mixes later in the evening when the Kwepena sweat has dried up.
Gates will be open by 12pm while entrance is Shs 10K
10. 8th CBA Vintage & Classic Auto Show at Sheraton Kampala hotel
The 8th CBA Vintage and Classic Auto show will be taking place this Saturday July 27th at the Kampala Sheraton hotel starting 10AM.
The Uganda Vintage and Classic Auto Show is a Campaign that utilizes automobiles and oldies lifestyle activities to provide a unique and fresh experience for different social groups utilizing the Platforms of History, Heritage, Restoration and Experiential.
The inspiration behind the Uganda Vintage and Classic Auto Show is the widespread interest in Vintage Cars and the few opportunities to showcase the ones in Uganda.
The First Edition of the Uganda Vintage & Classic Auto Show was held on Saturday 16th June 2012 at the show’s home, Sheraton Kampala Hotel Gardens, and has since become an annual fixture.
The Uganda Vintage & Classic Auto Show plays host to Car Enthusiasts and Event Goers each year who are entertained by a variety of car models dating as far back as 1925 from the East African region who compete for the ultimate ” Best overall car of the year” prize. The special award ceremony, an invite only event features fine dining and performances by the best artists. It has been established as one of the Classiest Events on the Ugandan Social Calendar.
