During Easter Weekend, a total of upto 20 people had an opportunity to visit the Bwindi impenetrable Forests organised by Ruth Kendegye, founder for Girls of Grace Villa. The trip aimed at raising funds towards the home for the vulnerable orphan girls in the home started with registration at the Uganda Wildlife Offices in Buhoma and after together with the tour guides, the journey was embarked.

A deep trek and hike down 26 Kilometres was the most memorable moment as many got to enjoy the moist environment coupled with beautiful bird species and the different trees in the region.

Kicking off the early adventures were the water falls in the forest which some are catchment areas that connect and pour across the different communities that saw some excited trekkers jump in to enjoy the cold but natural flows community residents enjoy more.

A deep walk down the hills and valleys passing through the thick Bwindi impenetrable Forest embarked clearly covering a maximum of 26 kilometers amidst dropping large amounts of adrenaline during the tough walk which some trekkers referred to as the most interesting but tough adventurous trek covering upto 6 to 8 hours of the walk down from Kanungu to Kisoro- Nkuringo via the different communities as guided by Uganda Wildlife Authorities guides.

Next activity was Gorilla tracking where most enjoyed the beautiful Gorillas.

Dubbed #Bwindi4GraceVilla was aimed at giving trekkers a great feel of the Bwindi atmosphere. Closing down the trip was a visit to the Kwanzi in Kabale that consists of a Museum that tells the history and memories of Kigezi region.

Thereafter a visit to the Girls of Grace Villa home was taken to have lunch together with the vulnerable orphans where financial support , donations, cake cutting among other activities took place.
