Moses Ndaula, known on stage as Bling Dizzo, is an emerging musical talent from Mbale in Eastern Uganda. His stage name reflects brilliance and creativity, as he sees himself as a “shining designer” in the music industry.
Bling Dizzo’s musical journey started in high school when he drew inspiration from Peter Miles, Uganda’s reggae dancehall sensation. By miming his idol’s songs, Bling Dizzo gained the confidence to develop his own sound. Today, his versatility is evident as he explores various music styles, allowing fans to choose what resonates best with them.
“I sing for Uganda, Africa, and the world. My vision goes beyond borders,” he states, emphasizing his goal to connect with listeners internationally through his music.
Over the years, Bling Dizzo has transitioned from an aspiring artist to a sought-after performer. He proudly shares, “I don’t sing for free anymore—people recognize the value of my talent and pay for it.” His music catalog includes hit songs like “Sente,” “Percent,” “Mpya Tuku,” “Otilibiza,” and his latest single, “Wa.” Collaborations, such as “Mpya Tuku” with Uganda’s Hip-Hop Star Karma Santana have introduced fresh energy to his work, and he hints at more partnerships in the pipeline.
Motivated by a desire to inspire, Bling Dizzo creates relatable music. His track “Sente” addresses the universal pursuit of financial success. “Everyone is working hard to make money. My music reflects that reality,” he explains.
Looking ahead, Bling Dizzo has ambitious dreams. “In five to ten years, I see myself leading Uganda and East Africa musically,” he declares with confidence. On his wishlist of future collaborations is none other than international female music superstar Rihanna.
Being an artist from Mbale comes with its challenges, but Bling Dizzo views these obstacles as opportunities for growth. “I don’t focus on negative energy. I stay positive and committed to my goals,” he says. He also plans to engage in community initiatives, inspiring and supporting upcoming artists from Eastern Uganda.
Fans are central to Bling Dizzo’s journey. “They share my music, view it, and book me for shows. I stay connected by responding to messages online and engaging with them directly,” he reveals. His advice to aspiring musicians is “Work hard, work smart, and stay humble. Respect will take you far.”
With more music on the way, Bling Dizzo is a name to watch out in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
