Uganda’s She- cranes netball team set record as top African netball playing country

It has been all happiness and celebrations among Ugandan netball fans and citizens following the triumph of the she-cranes netball team, Uganda’s national netball team, over rivals South Africa in a game to rank either of the two fifth or sixth in the on going Netball 2023 World cup being played in south Africa.

The action packed game ended in a 49-47 narrow win in favor of Uganda and was played at the Cape Town International Convention center.

For the past few years, the she cranes netball team has been a strong competitor and continuously vied to become Africa’s top national team, a contest that has been achieved by defeating South Africa.

With this defeat, it means the She cranes team is currently ranked number one in Africa as the top netball playing country and fifth in the world. Uganda improves on its ranking having been earlier ranked eighth in the previous 2019 Netball World Cup that was played at St George’s Hall in Liverpool.

They have shown significant improvement and competitiveness over the years, becoming a formidable force in African netball.
