The Ateker Reunion Festival was held this week in Soroti City. The festival highlighted the strength and beauty of Uganda’s variety of cultures while also bringing together Ateker-speaking people from Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, and Ethiopia.
The event showcased the richness of our traditions via music, dances, art, and dialogue, while also encouraging cross-border unity.
UTB CEO Lilly Ajarova stated that the Ateker Reunion Festival is a powerful reminder that Uganda’s cultural wealth is one of our most valuable assets.
She stated, “As the Uganda Tourism Board, we remain committed to supporting such events that promote unity, preserve our heritage, and position Uganda as a leading cultural tourism destination. Therefore, let’s continue to celebrate what makes us uniquely Ugandan.”
