Given the challenges poised by the existence of the Covid – 19 close to a year now and implementation of Coronavirus standard operating procedures to avoid further spread in Uganda. Seems Blankets & Wine can’t wait to keep fans entertained as Organisers wait for Government to officially open the door to the Entertainment Industry for outdoor events to take pace again.
House of Deejays – the Organisers of the previous various quarterly editions for Blankets & Wine together with partners Fezah have launched digital rewind edition series to keep revelers engaged while they unwind memories of their previous custom themed quarterly outdoor fun and picnic event.
House of Deejays as franchise partners of the most adorned Uganda’s urban outdoor event will be taking fans and revelers on a memory lane with online unwind sessions of the past sessions over the years.
According to James Byaruhanga – the Director of House of Deejays – the series are aimed at reviving performances from the past editions of Blankets and Wine and will be jam packed with lots of exciting acts.
He adds, ‘’The performances will uplift the spirit of sharing love, discovering new and old moments, embracing culture and lifestyle with a unique blend of mostly Ugandan music, while also giving exposure to the various Afro urban musicians’’.
Fezah founder Ham Namakajjo reveals that, ‘’Fezah is super excited to be part of this series, showcasing our unique Uganda talent to a global audience through our pay –per-view platform. By accepting mobile payments in Nine African countries and cards globally, we are privileged to be able to help musicians monetize their craft, especially during this pandemic that has been hard on the entertainment industry’’.
House of Deejays and Fezah clarify that the series will air twice a month on the Fezah Live platform with the first episode slated to take place on Sunday February 28th 2021.
This showcase will feature incredible afro – soul artist MoRoots.
