The long awaited giveaway ceremony for Bridget Birungi took place on Saturday 04th August 2018 at former 2016 Presidential candidate’s home, Amama Mbabazi.
Bridget introduced hubby Andile Ramaphosa son to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at a marriage give – away function held at Amama Mbabazi home in Kololo attended by President Museveni, Chief Justice Bat Katureebe, Emmanuel Tumusiime, former Minister Jim Muhwezi, Engineer Gordon Wavamuno among several other high profile dignitaries, businessmen and women.
The ceremony locally refered to as enshagararano (escorting the bride) paved way for a marriage ceremony anticipated for late this year.
Upon giving Birungi, Amama Mbabazi requested South African in-laws to take good care of their beautiful daughter, inform them of whereabouts and also ask help where need arises.
Bridget and Andile met 10 years ago while in Beijing where Andile was working as an expert and Bridget was still in school studying Engineering and after relocated to South Africa where she pursued her masters and have lived since then.
Bridget is daughter to former presidential candidate Amama Mbabazi.
