In a move set to elevate travel rewards and enhance the customer experience, Brussels Airlines, Beobank, and Mastercard have announced a strategic partnership to launch a new cobranded card with a comprehensive loyalty program.
The product, which is slated for release in the second quarter of 2025, will offer a range of benefits tailored to frequent and occasional travellers alike.
The collaboration between Brussels Airlines, the Belgian national carrier, and Beobank, one of Belgium’s leading retail banks, marks a significant expansion in the airline’s loyalty offerings. Mastercard, with its global network and experience in cobranded airline programs, will power the card, providing international reach and seamless payment options.
The cobranded card will feature a robust loyalty program where cardholders can earn miles for every euro spent. These miles will be redeemable for flights, travel perks, and exclusive benefits. This initiative aims to cater to diverse traveler profiles, from frequent business flyers to occasional holidaymakers, with varied card options and benefits that suit different needs.
Dorothea von Boxberg, CEO of Brussels Airlines, emphasised the value of this partnership: “We are excited to work with Biobank and Mastercard to provide our customers with even more innovative services. This co-branded card loyalty program will bring great value to our guests and inspire them to engage with our enhanced offerings.”
Guy Schellinck, CEO of Beobank, highlighted the opportunity to better meet customer needs through this partnership, noting that the collaboration will enable Beobank to strengthen its position as a leader in the credit card market while continuing its successful collaboration with Mastercard.
Henri Dewaerheijd, Country Manager for Mastercard Belgium and Luxembourg, echoed these sentiments, stating, “This new card will integrate into everyday life while offering travel and lifestyle benefits both at home and abroad, backed by Mastercard’s global acceptance network.”
