Early 2017, American Hip Hop / Rapper French Montana travelled to Uganda on a Health mission where he invested up to $100,000 in building a new Suubi Health Centre that has seen change the lives of many Ugandans.
While financing the centre, they anticipated up to 56,000 citizens though the number grew steadily to 300,000 people that receive health care.
While in Uganda he lamented ‘’ I will do what I can to help out as a form of global advocacy’’
The African / American In search of artistic inspiration, traveled back to his African roots not knowing what to expect from his first vacation but suddenly ended up in a charity cause that has secured many, in addition to this, he recorded a video in Ndeeba, Uganda where the dance group known as Ghetto Kids were seen dancing to his ‘’Unforgettable’’ song featuring Swae Li, this added mileage to the dance group that later on performed at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles at the 2017 BET Awards.
The Jungle Rules artist celebrated the anniversary of his life-changing trip on social media Wednesday (March 14), “Happy one year anniversary to my family in Uganda can’t believe we got so much done in one year , Thank u for the opportunity,” he captioned.
The philanthropic efforts have not slowed down for the hip-hop star, as he recently partnered with MTV and Get Schooled to launch the “We Are the Dream” campaign, which will allocate proper resources to undocumented immigrants so they can attain higher levels of education in the United States.
