Qatar Airways participates in the Qatar-Germany Business and Investment Forum

Qatar Airways participated in the Qatar-Germany Business and Investment Forum, the ninth edition of the premier economic event, which took place in Berlin last week.

Under the patronage of His Highness The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and in the presence of Chancellor of Germany, Ms. Angela Merkel, and the Deputy to the President of Germany and Governing Mayor of Berlin, Mr. Michael Müller.

Qatar Airways was the host for the official gala dinner of the Qatar-Germany Business and Investment Forum, which was attended by dignitaries and high government officials, including the guest of honor, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, who addressed the attendees about the special relationship between Qatar and Germany.

The gala dinner was also attended by high government officials from both nations, including: His Excellency, Mr. Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications; His Excellency, Mr. Ali Shareef Al Emadi, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Qatar Airways Group; Minister of Municipality and Environment, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani; Minister of Economy and Commerce, His Excellency, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada; Minister of Energy and Industry, His Excellency, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi; His Excellency, Mr. Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany; and His Excellency Dr. Eric Schweitzer, President of the Association of Germany Chambers of Commerce, and many other VIPs and dignitaries.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, said: “I am delighted to be here among friends to celebrate the partnership between Qatar and Germany, which expanded over 60 years and has been built on mutual trust and a common vision. Qatar is proud of its long-standing partnership with Germany, and we hope that this forum will serve as a joint catalyst for the growth of our joint businesses and eceonomic cooperation.”

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “I am delighted that Qatar Airways attended this year’s Qatar-Germany Business and Investment Forum, held here in Berlin, one of our most important European gateways.
