What a night it was for all African soccer lovers as the 2021 Total Energies African cup of nations was played to the grand close. The finals had the Teranga Lions of Senegal tussling it out with the Pharaohs of Egypt.
The tense night say Sadio Mane score the descisive penalty kick that saw Senegal secure their first Africa Cup of Nations trophy, after the two sides played to a full time goalless stalemate. Sadio Mane had missed a penalty in the 3rd Minute of open play but later lifted up his mood to score the winning penalty.
At the Olembe Stadium in Yaoundé, the 33rd edition of Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations final was decided on spot kicks and Senegal emerged victors with their first ever win in an African Cup of Nations final having been in the tournament for 16 times.
Senegal dominated and had more clear cut chances in real play however they couldn’t put one against the later voted man of the match Egyptian keeper Gabaski.
